"We're not ALL rotten," says Karla LaVey (daughter of
the late Anton Szandor LaVey) of this Friday's
Pre-Halloween Satanic Church Hurricane Benefit.

Fact of the matter is, like any good woman of the
cloth, the founder of the First Satanic Church has
pulled together quite an array of talent to perform
and raise money this Friday Oct 21 at SF's Edinburgh
Castle:

BOXCAR SATAN (San Antonio)
THE GRAVES BROTHERS DELUXE
RUBBER-O-CEMENT
XOME
THEREMIN BARNEY
SIXES
MONICHI FUMI

Plus the usual cast of exotic dancers and dudes in ape
suits.
Oh, and cakes and snacks... and CORNBREAD... oh, that
cornbread...

Edinburgh Castle, 950 Geary in San Francisco.
Show starts at 9pm. Admission 6 bucks to 20 bucks,
sliding scale.

All proceeds after expenses go to the Houma tribe of
southeast Louisiana, whose communities were devastated
by Katrina and Rita. In the olden days, the Houma
farmed, fished, trapped, and revered the crawfish, as
it gave protection and was a symbol of kinship. Today
the Houma are desperate to rebuild and are receiving
very limited government assistance; since the
Louisiana Purchase, the federal government has refused
to officially recognize the Houma Nation. (The state
of Louisiana, by contrast, has recognized them ever
since Spanish and French occupation.)
