John Peel - the greatest British DJ - has died.
Needless to say what a great great loss this is. 
I remember hearing "Down in the Desert" on his
domestic show. 

There are obits all over the Brit press - and
elsewhere - I don't doubt, but for a tribute from
musicians (Blur's Damon Albarn, New Order's Peter
Hook, Pulp's Jarvis Cocker, Orbital, Thom Yorke,
Supergrass, Elbow and The Super Furry Animals) oh and
the Britain's Bush Puppet Dog, Tony Blair:
